Prof James Hogg
His research for the government investigated how allegations of harm to adults were investigated by social work departments, the police, the NHS and other agencies, and how well they worked together to protect adults at risk of harm. In 2008 he became independent convenor of Dundee Adult Support & Protection Committee. A special interest of James is the support of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families. In 1992, with his wife, Loretto Lambe, he founded the charity, PAMIS, to give such support. the organisation now works in Tayside and throughout Scotland. He is a citizen advocate for a woman with learning disabilities with Dundee Independent Advocacy Service.
